Fernanda Alves, LMHC
Virtual Only Clinician
My name is Fernanda Alves, and I am originally from Brazil, where I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2006. After graduating, I immigrated to the US to pursue my master's degree in mental health, which I successfully completed in 2012. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work as an outpatient therapist for two nonprofit organizations, where I obtained experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
As someone who has attended counselling myself for anxiety and ADHD, I noticed that plain “talk therapy” was not the most effective method for so many of us, so, with that in mind, I developed a goal-oriented, evidence-based approach with my clients that allows them to develop tools to accept life’s challenges while moving towards their values and goal.
Instead of focusing on WHY you can't accomplish something, I will help you focus on HOW by giving you productive solutions and strategies.
